Today in Global Small Business: Honoring Our Nation's Veterans

What's affecting me, my clients, my colleagues and other global small business owners:

• In respect and recognition of the contributions our veterans and their families, caregivers, and survivors have made to the cause of peace and freedom around the world, the Congress has provided (5 U.S.C. 6103(a)) that November 11 of each year shall be set aside as a legal public holiday to honor our Nation's veterans.
• Veteran-owned businesses – SBA.
• Quote of the week: “How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!" – Maya Angelou
• U.S. Department of of Veterans Affairs, support for your Veteran-owned small business.
• Veterans and Military Business Owners Association.
• Veteran-owned businesses generated about 5.3% of employer firm revenue, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
