Based on Student Experience Office Hours and conversations with students, some general concerns have been brought to our attention lately, including: use of different attendance apps in class, improving student understanding of the Busch Advising Center, and better overall communication. Student Spotlight
It’s 7am Monday morning, and Merrill Lynch is awaiting their Part Time Client Associate, Sam Galvin, to grace them with his presence on one of their Global Wealth Management Teams. This Busch School junior finance major hits the ground running every day, whether he’s at his Farragut North internship, leading the Investment Club as president, promoting CUA through the Busch Admissions Team, or actively serving as a member of College Republicans. Sam loves the cultural aspects of Washington D.C., from the monuments to the sporting events, to the architecture. He is happy to provide finance majors here at CUA with a sneak peak into the world of finance through this the Investment Club, and most proud of the CUA Investment Club winning the Academic and Professional Student Organization of 2016 Award. His favorite class at CUA has been Professor Alvarado’s Management of Information class because of his style of teaching, use of case studies, engaging projects, guest speakers and real world experience. Sam is looking forward to continuing this semester with classes, the Investment Club, and Merrill Lynch!

The Persimmon Report
The Busch School is working with the District of Columbia Building Permits office on a feasibility study to see if Maloney Hall can be expanded  to eight  stories. Three is simply not enough…

About Town
• RESTAURANT WEEK!  Now is your time to check out that super swanky restaurant you have had your eyes on.  With prix-fixe menus, most restaurants have $30-$40 specials that include a starter, an entree, and dessert!  January 30th-February 5th.
• Which wall has DC been all abuzz about lately?  John Wall!  Head down to Verizon Center to catch the Wizards.  This week is pretty stacked with home games against NY Knicks, NOLA Pelicans, and LA Lakers!  http://ift.tt/2ilBYwt
• Check out one of the heavy hitters in building the local Brookland community.  Dance Place uses several artistic platforms to speak to today's audience on the social issues of our day.  http://ift.tt/2jF2jXV
