Student Spotlight
This week’s Student Spotlight, Mr. Billy Wilson, had the honor of competing in the International Business and Ethics Case Competition in Santa Monica, CA last week. Billy and three other Busch School students presented a case with an ethical dilemma and provided a solution to the judges. He says that this experience is one that he will never forget. This Freshman Marketing Major has quickly  adjusted to the rhythm of being a Busch School student. His typical day consist of juggling classwork and getting involved in the CUA community. Currently, Billy serves as a volunteer for DC Reads where he is helping the youth in the D.C. area with all the studies that they may have in their respective school. He also is a member of ToastMasters and College Republicans. Billy’s favorite class at CUA has been Vocation of Business with Professor Widmer he says, “I really enjoyed the mindset that he has behind business in general and idea presented on business being a noble vocation”. He believes that applying business as a force for good is only achieving the goal of making a profit, but also serving and empowering people positively.
His advice for prospective students,” Make sure that you get out and meet new people, network, and just get involved in anything that you possibly can!”.
This summer Billy has been selected to be a counselor for the Summer Business Institute here at CUA where he will share his experience and passion or business with incoming and prospective students!
